This is my new painting, "Canters, Fairfax". It is a relatively large painting for me, 36 x 48 inches, oil on canvas. I've spent months working on this one, it's one of my favorite pieces this year. Canter's is a really great deli located on Fairfax in Hollywood.

I'd die doing all that lettering, monumental painting! I so relieved you guys are ok. Looking forward to your fire pictures.
Jeez, look at the smooth textures! I can see where all that work went, helluva good job! Good to hear you guys came out alright. I want to see the pics, too.
Excellent painting. I ate there when I was in LA last spring.
Glad your folks house was spared.
Hey Bill. The lettering ain't so bad, it's a necessity in urban landscapes for signage.
Hi BG, thanks! Yeah, I made use of my sable brushes for a smoother surface. Dark paintings with heavy brushwork don't work very well, they have too much reflective glare on the surface.
Crawlspace, welcome to my blog! Glad you found me.
hey Tony! great paintings on here! i admire the dedication you have to doing larger sized paintings.. i wish i could do the same but i can't seem to find the time these days cuz of work.. the blog is my scapegoat.. i look forward to seeing more of your work!
Thanks Kinman, I'll send you an invite to my January show.
